This election year perhaps more than any in memory, mass numbers of voters (the vast majority of you, in fact!) are having trouble figuring out how you will be able to hold your noses while casting a vote for president and vice president.

Not to fear. There IS relief! You CAN do what Nancy told you to do -- just say "NO!!!"

Every voter has the right to vote for (and AGAINST!) any candidate. YOU have the right to just say "NO!!!" to business as usual. YOU can help turn things around, by exercising YOUR right to vote NONE OF THE ABOVE (or the common abbreviation NOTA). If a write-in option does not appear on your ballot, ask your precinct electioneer for a write-in ballot, and vote NONE OF THE ABOVE (or "NOTA").

NOTA is likely to collect more votes than the scattered third party candidates who get almost no exposure in the mass media. Join with us!

For more, go to NOTA.org.

Thanks for the information, Chris. And the link to find out what precinct you are in is a great resource. I am hearing that voter turnout in early voting has been very heavy, so I would encourage folks to take advantage of the opportunity to vote early because election day will probably be a mess!

Also, I would like to congratulate you on your new blog, wish you the best, and say thanks for starting it up. Although I don't post on blogs much, I did faithfully follow the other League City blog, and was somewhat disappointed to see it go down. But, I guess everything has it's time and place. I know Jimmy and Mark both put a lot of time and effort into the blog and the show. That does not go unappreciated.

Mr. Mallios one of the things that I have discovered is that the Lawyer for MUD 6 "the Landing" does not advertise elections very much although I am sure he has done everything he was "Legally" required. He has control over several MUD's in the city. Would you be willing to publish MUD elections with locations when the time comes. The last Mud 6 election was april 2008 at and was only at the College of Mainland near the Shell Station. The next is in 2010. THE FOLKS IN MUD6 IN GENERAL DID NOT KNOW A ELECTION WAS IN PROGRESS. Particapation was low but picked up after I posted some signs indcating where and when to go but I did not have the resorces to inform all of MUD6. I have no doubt he keeps people in the dark but meets all Legal Requirements to cover himself like only a Lawyer can in the other MUDS he controls in the city. Would you be good enough to post info for MUD elections when the time is approperate?

Absolutely, I believe the word should get out to all if there is an election. You may place the thread yourself or if you wish you can email me the information and I will post it. This blog is to inform the people who may read it from Galveston to Houston.
